This position is in Region 1, Superfund and Emergency Management Division, Operations Branch, Budget, Enforcement and Information Management Section. About: Region 1.
This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

Duties
You will:
- Conduct investigations to identify potentially responsible parties (PRPs) and initiate contact with such parties to extend the opportunity for performance or financing of remedial and removal activities.
- Ensure program consistency in implementing Agency policy and guidance specific to the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).
- Provide oversight of staff personnel in development of case strategies and enforcement documents to ensure that the individual cases are being handled comprehensively and consistently with program policies.
- Provide accurate representation of costs to determining the most appropriate strategy and resource expenditures in pursuing cost recovery.
- Advise Senior Enforcement Coordination in negotiated settlements offers from Potentially Responsible Parties (PRPs) based on program guidance and other considerations.
