Fund Development Intern
Position Details
Position Type: Part-time, Internship, 10 hours/week

Position Term: Semester long internship with possibility to renew
Compensation & Benefits: $12.48 hourly
Summary
As a Fund Development Intern, you'll be a key part of our team, helping us raise funds to support our mission. You'll get hands-on experience in fundraising, learn about different strategies, and help us build strong relationships with our donors. This role supports the team through data entry and detailed reporting through our constituent relationship management (CRM) database and general event support.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties
- Accurately input and update donor information into the fundraising database.
- Maintain and organize electronic and paper records of donations and donor interactions.
- Assist in drafting, proofreading and sending thank you letters, gift acknowledgements, emails and other communications to donors.
- Assist in fundraising event logistics, including setting up, taking down, and ensuring materials are prepared for the event.
- Provide general administrative support to the fundraising team.
- Assist in generating reports on fundraising progress, donor engagement, and campaign performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received
- Specific Direction: Receives detailed work instructions or guidance for performing repetitive tasks. Supervisor monitors progress and provides feedback or correction as needed to ensure that tasks are completed according to expectations.
Education & Experience
- No prior experience required
- High School Diploma required. Some college preferred.
Qualifications
- Interest in nonprofit work and fundraising.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to use a computer for research and data entry.
- Previous database experience preferred.
- Team player who's also good at working independently.
