Associate Instructional Designer

Join our dynamic Warroad Learning and Development team as an Associate Instructional Designer! In this exciting and unique role, you’ll help create and enhance effective training programs and learning modules for Warroad Operations. You’ll also be involved in storyboarding, shooting, and editing video footage to produce professional content for various platforms, including e-learning.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, loves asking questions and enjoys solving problems. If you’re passionate about video, creativity, and finding simple solutions to complex issues, this role is perfect for you. You’ll stay up to date with the latest technology and industry best practices, ensuring our training programs are cutting-edge. You shouldn’t be afraid to dive into new technology and bring your design instincts to the table!

Highlight of the Role:

  • Assist with training-related projects within Warroad Operations.
  • Design new learning materials as well as propose/execute on continuous improvements to existing content.
  • Partner with internal customers to clearly define objectives for courses and/or curriculum.
  • Ensure content remains relevant and adheres to established brand guidelines
  • Design quizzes and meaningful course interactions to increase learning and knowledge retention.
  • Participate in team brainstorming and strategy meetings to help define goals and direction.
  • Train others on how to use/leverage learning materials.
  • Continuously seek out and benchmark industry trends in learning technology and propose change/improvements to processes and software solutions.
  • Act as videographer to capture and edit professional-level footage for training videos.
  • Collaborate with applicable team members/stakeholders to provide multi-directional support and promote overall consistency across the full library of training-related materials.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):

  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, constantly seeking avenues to enhance learning experiences.
  • Exhibit robust project, organizational, and time management skills for efficient content development.
  • Display keen attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and quality of instructional materials.
  • Proficiency in (or ability to learn) multimedia tools such as Adobe Creative suite of products (i.e. Premiere Pro, Audition)
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with employees at all levels.

We also want to make sure you have: 

  • Associate’s degree in a related field preferred or an equivalent amount of closely related work experience.
  • Experience with video production/ video editing/e-learning programs preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.

Compensation: $56,000.00-$70,000.00
