Intern - College
Overview
Interns will be given assignments specific to their field of study. The assignments will expand their educational scope and provide CCW with additional temporary staffing. The intern position will have a mentor within the staff who will supervise their assignments, and they will have the opportunity to gain experience that will compliment their education.
Responsibilities
· Assist with CIP (Capital Improvement Projects) by reviewing and processing data from various sources and condense it into reports for CCW management to support recommendations based on data analysis
· Perform statistical/graphic data analysis for monitoring and tracking capital improvement projects
· Analyze complex data and provide summaries to CCW management
· Review of various programs and projects in search of best practices
· Identify and recommend opportunities to improve workflows
· Data analysis of CCW processes
· Other projects as assigned
· Performs other related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work
· Non-Exempt – Full-Time
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement
· In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services.

Minimum Qualifications
· Two (2) years of college and currently enrolled. Must have successful completion with a minimum grade of “C” within the twelve (12) month period of the date of application

· A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
