Plant Health Care Specialist
Plant Health Care Specialist
Ingersoll Land Care seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic teammate to join our expanding crew. While experience is certainly a major plus, we are looking for the right fit and we are willing to train you for the position, including education, required licenses, etc.
In your role, you will be primarily responsible for monitoring and caring for trees and shrubs at the homes of our many loyal clients; you will be treating for invasive insects, diseases, soil compaction, nutrient deficiencies, and much more. You'll be working on paper/computer/tablet and mobile phone to document conditions, materials, and submit job reports.
You will spend much of your time working alone, and engaging consistently with management, co-workers, property managers and caretakers, and directly with our many wonderful clients, their families, and pets.
You will spend most of your time outdoors or driving throughout our region, especially between late March and late November. Up to 6-8 weeks of winter layoff may occur depending on weather conditions. Meanwhile, opportunities for further education, growth and promotion are many: we will support you in attaining the necessary and/or appropriate certifications and licenses for your position. Estimating, sales, and supervising others are among many potential opportunities for advancement.
Safety, Community, Environmental Sustainability and Fun are among our core values.
We strive to protect habitats and promote biodiversity through a holistic approach. We are dedicated to Low Impact methods, and to the use of OMRI-listed, biological and botanical materials whenever possible.
We are in the Southern Berkshires in beautiful Western Massachusetts.
