NONPROFIT RECORD LABEL STAFF NEEDED

Amplify Arts Project seeks 3 passionate, music-loving staff to help us run our summer Syryn Records internship, which is Amplify Arts Project’s totally youth-run record label and internship program for girls and gender-expansive youth in grades9-12.

In case you haven’t heard, women and gender-expansive people are grossly underrepresented in the music industry. Even when we’re lucky enough to be included in the industry as artists and beyond, we’re often mistreated or ignored. Syryn Records is on a mission to change that by letting youth artists and interns call the shots and create original projects in their very own nonprofit label, while also learning from experts along the way.

OPEN POSITIONS

★ Marketing & Social Media Department Lead ★ Creative/Art Department Lead ★ Event Planning & PR

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Have meaningful previous experience in and passion for both 1) music/entertainment and 2) empathetic, uplifting mentorship
  • Serve as a support and role model for staff and youth alike
  • Adhere to current public health and safety protocols at all times
  • Occasionally move/lift heavy objects alone or with a buddy
  • Attend pre-launch staff orientation (likely online)
  • Complete lesson/activity plans 2+ weeks in advance
  • Complete tasks and communications (e.g., Slack, email) in a timely and clear manner
  • Employment contingent upon clean background check
