Sales and Marketing Associate

Job Description:

GeneGoCell Inc. is a San Diego-based Life Science Company specializing in facilitating the Gene and Cell Therapy industry. The company focuses on providing top-quality, innovative and fast-turnaround customized whole-suite solution from assay design to assays, data analysis, to compliant testing, reporting services in Next-Gen Sequencing (NGS). The candidate will work in a talented and motivated team. This role will carry out the sales, marketing, and some basic business development work for molecular and/or cellular testings including, but not limited to cutting edge Next-Gen Sequencing (NGS), and flow cytometry assays in a CLIA, GxP-compliant laboratory environment.

 

Responsibilities for the position:

· Identifies, assesses, and conducts diligence on new business opportunities that are in line with the overall business and strategic growth objectives for the company.

· Generates leads, grows opportunities and develops new client partnerships.

· Manages and grows existing client accounts. May provide after-sales technical support and exceptional customer service.

· Assists in the marketing material preparation, marketing research, assessment of market potential, financial viability, technical relevance and other potential new business opportunities. Prepare slide decks and marketing/clients analysis efficiently, proficiently and effectively via Microsoft Office suite.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· Requires a BS in life science, preferably with experience in molecular and/or cellular biology. Ideally familiarity with gene editing technologies and its verification via Next-Gen Sequencing (NGS). Other STEM majors are acceptable with willingness, curiosity and capability in learning and adaptation.

· Clear and concise communication skills in writing, verbal and presentations, especially interpersonal and persuasive communications skills in sales and/or scientific settings.

· Customer-centric attitude.

 

Preferred qualifications and required responsibilities for the position:

· Previous lab experience utilizing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and/or flow cytometry or previous sales/marketing, other client-interaction experience is a plus.

· Strong organizational skills to plan in advance and execute in time.

· Ability to timely communicate with the management team and meet the project timelines.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

· A sense of urgency, contagious optimism and a “can-do” attitude.

· Functions well in a team environment to analyze problems and formulate solutions.

· Self-starter in identifying potential issues and opportunities.

 

Pay: base salary ($50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year) + commission
