Music Specialist

Music Specialist: Plan and create, organize, and lead musical activities for grades 1-12. Lead campfire singing and music for worship. Lead catalogue of camp graces for every meal. Work alongside programming staff to plan and execute any music themed camps that may be running in the summer. 

 Ability to play keyboard or guitar is helpful. Lead music themed camps and bring in summer theme into activities. Previous camp experience encouraged but not required. 

Residential position so housing, laundry facilities  and three meals and a snack daily are included.

Looking for individuals who enjoy working with a diverse group of children in an outdoor setting, enjoy communing with nature and wish to share their skills and personalities within a community. Collaboration is very important with this position as we want music to be integrated and the camp experience and an important part of what we do, and we'd like to collaborate with you to make it what you'd like it to be. 

This job can be structured as a paid internship for individuals pursuing a degree from a variety of majors, with approval from your academic institution. An internship at Camp Asbury provides you with the opportunity to make a positive impact on your peers and the campers you serve. Learn to work through adverse situations and how to collaborate with those who are different than you.
