The Materials Engineering Department at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest is recruiting for roles in Chemistry. We invite all those who have (or will complete by summer 2024) a degree in Chemistry (or related) to submit a resume here on Handshake.

Chemists serve a vital role in performing chemical analysis and laboratory tasks which support both chemical industrial processing and aviation systems. Join a diverse team of civilian engineers and scientists that provide technical expertise in aerospace processes, provide skills and services in manufacturing and maintenance of aviation systems, and work hands-on with a variety of aircraft platforms. Our work directly supports the safety and airworthiness of US Navy and US Marine Corps aircraft used across the globe. Located in San Diego, CA, our facilities consist of modern equipment and laboratory spaces to support research, engineering, and repair/process development. Our laboratory serves a wide range of analytical needs in chemistry, metals and metallurgy, composites, polymers, non-destructive testing/nondestructive inspection (NDT/NDI), ceramics, and other material science testing capabilities.
 

US citizenship and the ability to obtain and hold a DoD security clearance is required for these roles.
