Marketing Business Analyst

We are looking for a DebtBlue is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Business Analyst that will be responsible for analyzing marketing data, identifying trends, and providing insights that support decision-making processes. This role will focus on evaluating marketing campaign performance, conducting competitive analysis, and contributing to strategic marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of marketing metrics, and a keen eye for translating data into actionable recommendations.

What you'll do:

Data Analysis and Insights:
 

  • Collect and analyze data on marketing performance across various channels, including digital, social, email, and offline marketing efforts.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track marketing KPIs and ROI.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and insights to drive marketing strategies and improvements.

Campaign Performance Evaluation:

  • Work closely with marketing teams to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, providing pre- and post-campaign analysis.
  • Evaluate customer acquisition, engagement, and retention metrics to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Provide regular reports on key marketing metrics to inform strategic decisions.

Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
 

  • Conduct research on competitors, market conditions, and industry trends to inform marketing and business development strategies.
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to develop data-driven insights that enhance market positioning.

Budget and Forecasting:

  • Assist in marketing budget planning and forecasting to maximize resource allocation.
  • Track marketing spend against budgets and report on budget efficiency and performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
 

  • Partner with teams across the organization, including Product, Sales, and Finance, to support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Communicate insights effectively to stakeholders, ensuring alignment on marketing strategies and performance metrics.

 

What we are looking for:

 

Education and Skills:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing analytics, business analysis, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI) and data visualization.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and metrics.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, or other data manipulation tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present data insights to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in consumer behavior analysis or customer segmentation.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing automation tools.
  • Certification in Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar analytics software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
  • The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
  • Low to moderate noise level
