Job Description: Middle School Teacher (All Content Areas)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Teacher responsible for teaching all core content areas, including math, science, language arts, and social studies, to students in 7th grade. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters academic success, critical thinking, and personal growth in all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons aligned with state standards and school curriculum for all content areas.
- Assess student understanding regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing feedback to guide learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with special needs and advanced learners.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and active participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administrators to support student learning and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior, and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and achievement.
- Provide individual or small-group support as needed to ensure all students succeed academically and socially.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in education.
- Uphold and enforce school policies, procedures, and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education.
- Valid state teaching license or certification for middle school education.
- Proficiency in teaching multiple content areas.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with middle school-aged students.
- Familiarity with integrating cross-curricular themes and project-based learning.
- Knowledge of educational technology tools and their application in the classroom.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a middle school setting, requiring active engagement with students and participation in school activities. Flexibility, enthusiasm, and adaptability are essential to meet the dynamic needs of middle school learners.
Compensation:
