CASA Case Manager

CASA Case Manager - McLean and Logan Counties

Starting Salary: $22.51-$24.77 per hour

This is a full-time grant funded position at 37.5 hours per work week. Hours typically are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. 

Position Summary

The CASA Case Manager is responsible for ensuring volunteers have the necessary skills to advocate for children who are abused and neglected and involved in the Juvenile Court system. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise up to 30 CASA volunteers/cases.
  • Review and maintain documentation of case progress and activities.
  • Assist in appointing CASA volunteers to cases referred by the court. 
  • Prepare all initial case documents after a case is accepted.
  • Attend court hearings and meetings with CASA volunteers.
  • Interview prospective CASA volunteers and assist with pre-service training program.
  • Attend ongoing in-service training and education programs. 
  • Participate in community awareness activities.
  • Assist in educating the community regarding the CASA program and issues relating to it.
  • Keep accurate data, statistics, and program information in a user friendly and readily identifiable manner for purposes of producing data for the court or grant monitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with, supervise, and empower volunteers to perform their roles successfully.
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues and dynamics within families in crises relating to child abuse and neglect.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the juvenile court process.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team. 
  • Maintain strict standards of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Office 365 products.
  • Required Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 
  • Experience working with children/families and/or volunteer management.
  • Willingness to travel outside of McLean County.
  • Must be able to pass the DCFS background check.
  • Must be available to be work outside of regular work hours.

Full salary range: $22.51 - $34.89 per hour
