Assistant Coach, Canon McMillian Site

Assistant Coach, Upper St. Clair Site

 

PEAQ is looking to hire 2 assistant coaches. PEAQ is the largest club in Allegheny Mountain with locations at

Canon McMillian HS, Chartiers Valley HS, and Upper St Clair HS. PEAQ is a Safe Sport Recognized member of USA Swimming and offers year-round competitive swim programs. You’ll have the opportunity to be a leader while teaching, coaching, and mentoring. 

 

Assistant Coach, Canon McMillian Site

Compensation – $18/hr based on experience; at least 20 hours per week in season.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Leadership-Coaching one or more assigned swim groups primarily at Canon McMillian HS, primarily with age group swimmers
  • Collaboration, Goal Setting, Goal Measurement-Working with our coaches to implement assigned workouts and set goals for swimmers
  • Leadership, problem solving, communication-Coaching at swim meets as scheduled
  • Communicating professionally with coaches, athletes, and parents
  • Maintaining all state and USA Swimming requirements and clearances
  • High school/College swimming experience and/or at least 2+ years past coaching experience preferred
  • Availability afternoons/weeknights/weekends (our senior groups start as early as 3PM; age groups typically start as early as 5PM). Ideal candidates will be available 5 days/evenings per week for practices and at least 1-2 weekends per month for meets.
  • Proficiency with Team Unify email a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License

 

Assistant Coach, Upper St. Clair Site

Compensation – $18/hr based on experience; at least 12 hours per week in season, with possibility of more.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Leadership-Coaching one or more assigned swim groups primarily at Upper St. Clair HS, primarily with age group swimmers
  • Collaboration, Goal Setting, Goal Measurement-Working with our coaches to implement assigned workouts and set goals for swimmers
  • Leadership, problem solving, communication-Coaching at swim meets as scheduled
  • Communicating professionally with coaches, athletes, and parents
  • Maintaining all state and USA Swimming requirements and clearances
  • High school/College swimming experience and/or at least 2+ years past coaching experience preferred

Additional information for BOTH positions: 

Opportunity for high school and middle school coach for Canon McMillian and Upper St. Clair school districts, respectively, for the right candidate, with additional compensation from the district. Note, assistant varsity high school and middle school coaching positions are separate job opportunities that will be hired directly by the local school district and not by PEAQ. PEAQ is a dynamic, growing swim club of nearly 400 swimmers and this position comes with ample opportunity for increased responsibility if desired.
