Forensic Science Internship
Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will experience all aspects of a death investigation performed by this office including, but not limited to, scene and morgue investigation.
Through follow-up investigation, interns will communicate with the family of the deceased, along with additional involved agencies, to complete a thorough investigation.
Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside a forensic investigator throughout the entirety of a case, from initial notification to a final case report to identify the cause and manner of death.
Requirements:
Must be a junior, senior or graduate student in good standing currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
Must be a Forensic Science or Criminal Justice major with a focused interest in death investigation.
Must have availability hours during normal business and after hours.
Expected to be present a minimum of 18 hours weekly, unpaid.
Must have reliable transportation.
