Product Management Intern
UE provides liability insurance and risk management services to about 1,600 members representing K-12 schools, colleges, and universities throughout the United States. United Educators is looking for a student working towards an associate or bachelor’s degree, ideally with a focus on legal studies or risk management, who is eager to learn about the insurance company market, insurance products and services –specifically policy forms for educational institutions. The intern will collaborate with Underwriting and Business Development to further the product team’s efforts toward meeting our members’ needs through insurance products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing and updating policy language to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with industry standards.
- Compile and aggregate market analysis to assist in identifying trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to product specifications, policy changes, and market research findings.
- Work with Underwriting team to understand member and insurance market product needs.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activities. Develop reports to communicate findings and recommendations to the product management team.
Requirements:
- Working towards an associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in legal studies or risk management program.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to review, digest, and analyze language and data.
- The ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change.
