Logistics Solutions Specialist
Position Summary
Analyzes and executes equipment inventory deployment strategies to support business sales plans and meet business inventory goals. Uses data, analytics, and effective customer communication skills to determine deployment strategy. Uses technology, systems, and problem-solving skills to execute strategy in a dynamic environment. Establishes, maintains, and communicates statistical data on the tracking of sales and inventory. Manages individual and department projects that help meet company goals that include efficiency and service to the customer.
Position Responsibilities May Include:
- Mine and extract data to generate reports that assist in performance tracking and decision making
- Analyze logistics operations and build decision support systems
- Oversee replenishment order generation, order processing, and distribution coordination to satisfy customer requests
- Manage company-owned distributor stocking plans and coordinate specialized customer needs
- Conduct research as needed to respond to customer requests
- Collaborate with Sales and Production Planning teams to align customer needs with manufacturing output
- Monitor and review product availability for some focused product class(es) group
- Provide suggestions and implement plans to improve business processes
- Identify value-creation opportunities for the company
- Develop and implement solutions (both simple solutions using existing technology and infrastructure as well as complex solutions using the latest technologies such as machine learning, program automation, sophisticated optimization algorithms, etc.
- Ensure projects and solutions are completed on time and according to specification
- Maintain high quality data governance
Nature and Scope
· Takes direction from lead.
· Works within well defined instructions.
· The incumbent receives general objectives from the supervisor, consisting of work assignments, goals desired, and recommends sources of information that may assist in task completion.
· The incumbent will work under the general supervision of the supply chain supervisor receiving instructions as to the nature and scope of assignments and objectives to be achieved, and receives advice on unusual or complex problems which deviate from basic policy.
