Housing Program Manager

As the Housing Program Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of your assigned team. Part of this work will include administering and overseeing the Housing Choice Voucher program operated by HASCO, conducting staff meetings, providing technical assistance and compliance advice to staff, conducting quality control reviews for accuracy and adherence to policy, procedures and regulations, reviewing utilization reports to confirm staff are meeting goals, reviewing higher level housing violations and termination patterns, representing HASCO at hearings, and assisting in the analysis, development, and implementation of policies and procedures. In addition, this role provides supervision, instruction, and guidance to Housing Specialists, will be responsible for communicating effectively with landlords, tenants, and peers from partner agencies, and identifying program integrity issues. To thrive in this role, you’ll need skill in organizing and managing a significant flow of information, the ability to manage and support a team, understanding and remaining current on federal and local housing policies and Fair Housing law, along with the ability to present and maintain a professional demeanor while potentially under pressure.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly sit, talk and/or hear.  The employee will constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.  Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.

Work may be performed at the Main Office or remotely and will be in an indoor, office environment.  Incumbent may be required to be available to physically visit the office in Everett, WA, to perform duties or meet with others on the team. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will operate standard office equipment including computers, telephones, and related equipment.
