Client Service Intern- Summer 2025

Take the initial step in your career path to become a team member of a growing Northern Kentucky practice though firsthand experience where you will learn more about our practice, Ameriprise Financial, and the ever-changing financial services industry. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced—and friendly—financial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. Help assist with daily business operations and feel as part of the team.

This position completes tasks which allow our advisors to focus more time and energy on client acquisition and deepening client relationships. The intern position supports the many different tasks for which the practice is responsible and ties directly to the overall business plan of the practice. This role provides client relationship and general practice management support.

Responsibilities and Time Allocation –Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.

50% - Business Management

  • Schedule client appointments and prepare agendas and forms for appointments
  • Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and as allowable, as it relates to servicing their accounts
  • Conduct client appointment reminder calls and check-in calls on follow-up items
  • Prepare correspondence as necessary
  • Follow-up with home office on related issues
  • Assist paraplanners, advisors and other team members as necessary

30% - Ad Hoc Projects

  • Organizing online file system
  • Organizing our client data base

20%- Client Care

  • Greet clients upon arrival
  • Set up client files
  • Document client contact/calls

Education and Other Designations:

  • Enrolled college student (preferably Sophomore or Junior status)
