Role Overview
Are you passionate about mental health, wellness and self-care, plugged into current events, and immersed in pop culture? We’re looking for a creative and culturally savvy Culture & News Intern with a mental health focus to help us connect topics with what’s happening in the world today. This role is perfect for a college student who’s tuned in to the latest trends and loves creating content that resonates with their peers.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Current Events & Trends: Stay up-to-date on pop culture, viral moments, and major news, identifying opportunities to link them to mental health themes.
- Create Engaging Content: Develop creative posts, stories, and captions for social media that tie culture and mental health together in a relatable way.
- Research & Write: Draft blog posts, mental health tips, or social media content inspired by current events or trending conversations.
- Collaborate: Work with the content and marketing teams to brainstorm ideas that make mental health approachable and engaging for young audiences.
- Advocate: Be a voice for the college student demographic, ensuring our brand stays relevant and impactful.
- Engage with the Community: Monitor comments, messages, and discussions on our platforms to help us understand what resonates most with our audience.

- Adaptable & Self-Driven: You can manage your time and tasks while keeping a finger on the pulse of trends.
Qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate (preferably in journalism, psychology, communications, or a related field).
- Experience with social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.
- Basic understanding of mental health topics and a willingness to learn more.
- Familiarity with Canva, video editing tools, or other creative platforms is a plus.
