Lifeguard and/or Aquatic Supervisor

A 10-week summer job at a residential camp in Marengo, Ohio. There are two, 1 hour swimming sessions Monday through Thursday that will need to be supervised. HopeWood Pines also includes watercraft activities (canoes, kayaks & corcls) for campers throughout the week. 

Qualifications:

1. Red Cross certified lifeguard or equivalent. (We will reimburse your lifeguard training up to $150)

2. Current certification in first aid and CPR.

3. Watercraft experience is needed.

4. A commitment to the Christian faith and a willingness to live out your faith in word and action.

5. A desire to work in outdoor ministries and to make campers the number one priority.

6. Willingness and ability to perform a wide variety of functions and help wherever is needed.

Responsibilities: 

• Plan and supervise a safe and fun aquatic environment
• Manage the physical facilities and equipment in the aquatic program area
• Participate as a member of the camp team to assist to plan, direct, and/or supervise evening programs, special events, overnights, and other all-camp activities and camp functions.
