Mortgage Post Closer

 

The Mortgage Post Closer assists with mortgage loan closing process by reviewing loan documents for compliance, completeness, and accuracy.


 

Major Duties and Responsibilities     

  • Review the payment options, escrow information, Insurance, and Property taxes
  • Scan mortgage loan closing packages into the mortgage file, review for accuracy      and ensure post-closing underwriting requirements are met.
  • Review exceptions and correct any errors.
  • Obtains  missing information from appropriates parties to the transaction which      includes members and third-party vendor relationships.
  • Draft mortgage documents which include Satisfactions, Subordinations and      Mortgages.
  • Manage department reports.
  • Electronically record mortgage documents when required.
  • Shipping duties as assigned.
  • Answers routine calls and/or walk in questions from members.

Other Duties

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the      Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Perform      other duties as assigned to support effective department operation.

 

Requirements

 

 Job Requirements Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years similar or related financial experience.

Demonstrated Knowledge

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Encompass a plus.

Communication Skills Ability to proactively respond to members/associates to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified.

Physical Requirements Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal associates and members on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.
