Job Title: Senior Healthcare Collections Representative
Location: Fort Worth, TX 76107
Pay: $21/hour 
Schedule: Monday through Friday – Flexible Shifts (Start as early as 6:30 AM or leave as late as 7:30 PM)

 

We are looking for a Senior Collections Representative to join our Client's team in Fort Worth. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in handling medical collections, exceptional communication abilities, and the expertise to interpret the Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex accounts, communicating with patients and insurers and ensuring collections are completed efficiently, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage efforts to collect outstanding balances on patient accounts, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
  • Analyze and interpret EOBs to detect payment issues, denials, or discrepancies, and work with payers to secure accurate payments.
  • Apply strong negotiation techniques when discussing payment options with patients to establish and manage payment plans.
  • Consistently follow up on overdue accounts, maintaining detailed documentation of all communications and actions taken.
  • Review accounts receivable reports, identify patterns, and develop strategies to optimize collections performance.
  • Mentor junior team members by offering training on best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
  • Keep up with changes in healthcare regulations and billing procedures to ensure adherence to current standards.
  • Partner with billing, clinical, and other departments to address payment issues and enhance workflow efficiency.

Required Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of medical collections experience
  • Supervisor or lead experience preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge in healthcare billing, insurance claims, and EOB interpretation 
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Proficient in collection management software and MS Office
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
