GENERAL DESCRIPTION:   

Curriculum specialists provide a variety of services to partnering school districts, including coaching and professional development. In addition, the department collaborates to support curriculum development for a variety of special projects including social and emotional learning, teacher induction, and career education. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Master’s Degree from an accredited educational institution in the curriculum or a related area.
  • Successful experience as a staff developer, coach or mentor.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with a variety of teachers, administrators and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity in all aspects of our organization and the schools we serve.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Understanding of effective teaching and learning principles for meeting the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Evidence of and a commitment to professional growth.
  • Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable disease. 

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board.  The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non - prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District. 

 

EVALUATION:

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
