Event Planning / Marketing Intern

The event planning / marketing intern will assist in the day-to-day event operations and planning for the TooManyGames convention. The position will be primarily remote with bi-monthly, in person, meetings at our office in Chalfont, PA.

  • Social Media:
    • Create engaging content for all major social media platforms to increase brand awareness and ticket sales.
    • Interact with account followers to create community engagement
    • Brainstorm/offer ideas for social media projects/opportunities
    • Ability to create basic graphics using templates provided in Canva
    • Completes other social media projects as assigned
    • Analysis of social media calendar to make sure we are promoting different areas of the convention equally
    • Write engaging social media headlines for social media advertising campaigns
    • Ability to review social media ad campaigns and notify the team if adjustments are needed based on low engagement, etc.
  • Email Marketing:
    • Write engaging emails for marketing to specific groups including anime, retro gaming, tabletop, and experienced convention goers.
    • Create reports on email marketing campaign.
  • Website Updates:
    • Ability to update simple website pages with updates.
    • Write simple website page descriptions of event.
  • Ability to update spreadsheets based on event schedules
  • Ensure uniform content and tone of voice for pre-event communication across all marketing channels
  • Completes other marketing projects as assigned
  • Completes other generalized convention projects as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Well organized with a customer service background
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Must be available to work the actual convention dates (including all set-up days) in June: 23rd - 29th, 2025.
  • Anyone currently enrolled or graduated within the past 24 months will be considered
  • Familiar with Social Media platforms including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
  • Ability to edit templates and graphics in Canva
  • Knowledgeable in email marketing platforms specifically MailChimp
