The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing novel therapeutics by executing experimental protocols, analyzing data, and contributing to scientific publications and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wet-bench:
    • Gene expression: design, optimize, and perform gene expression measurements via qRT-PCR and ddPCR (where necessary).
    • Protein expression: optimize and establish commercial techniques (western blot & ELISA) to quantify target proteins, ensuring quality and reproducibility.
      • Proteomics experience will be regarded highly (but not required).
    • Lab management: Maintain inventory of laboratory reagents, ordering of required consumables.
  • Cell Culture:
    • Maintain, passage, and manipulate (small-molecule screens, mammalian cell lines. Work will involve primary cell lines, stem-cell lines and differentiation to neurons.
    • Candidates with iPSC handling experience are strongly preferred.
