We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join an established yet growing team of talented colleagues who are focused on delivering a quality, consistent product in our Azure Cloud environment with increased speed. The candidate must have experience and skills working in an Azure environment. Responsibilities:

  • Use Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) expertise to collaboratively work with technical teams to provide guidance and ensure systems and solutions are scalable, resilient, and reliable.
  • Ensure sufficient logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies are employed around availability, latency, and overall system health.
  • Monitoring, Alerting & Incident Response
  • Gather and analyze metrics from platform, operating systems, and applications to assist in performance tuning, fault finding and establishing SLOs.
  • Effectively employ expert knowledge and share it with the Cloud & Development teams.
  • Research and recommend new technologies for compatibility, expandability, automation, ease of use, and supportability.
  • Create and maintain excellent documentation including workflows, procedures, and troubleshooting.
  • Design & implement automation processes in appropriate scripting languages or tools.
  • Support the day-to-day maintenance with a focus on reducing toil or technical debt of the applications while maintaining a high degree of system availability.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience working in a Cloud Operations, Software Development, Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure position/team.
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in one or more general purpose programming languages (Java, C#), scripting languages (Azure CLI, PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience utilizing Cloud/IT Automation tools (Azure Automation Runbooks, Azure Bicep & Azure RM Templates (IaC), etc.) is desired.
  • Experience with Cloud Monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Application Insights, etc.).
  • Passion for providing a great customer experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
