What We're Looking For: The DATCP’s Division of Trade and Consumer Protection is recruiting for a Grain Weighing Technician to fill an employment opportunity with the Bureau of Business Trade Practices

 

This position will be headquartered in Superior.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs responsible work in the Grain Inspection Program, including technical weighing duties, sampling of grain carriers, and preparing samples for inspection. Supervision is of a limited nature at the direction of the designated lead worker at the elevator site, the Grain Operations Manager and/or the Assistant Grain Operations Manager.

SALARY INFORMATION

The classification for this position is Grain Weighing Technician which is in schedule-range 06-12 with starting pay will be $21.55 per hour. This position is not represented by a collective bargaining unit. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan at the time of hire. A 12-month probationary period is required.

DATCP does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the selected applicant being able to provide documentation of eligibility to work in the United States.

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid driver’s license or the ability to provide one’s own transportation for work purposes is required.

 

Must possess and maintain a USDA-FGIS Grain Weighing License. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Minimally qualified candidates will have each of the following:

  • Must possess a current USDA-FGIS Grain Weighing License
  • Experience in an agriculture or food manufacturing setting (product/facility inspections, dairy plants/farms, etc.)

 

You must attach supporting documentation of your USDA-FGIS Grain Weighing License Information to indicate that you meet the above qualifications.
