small, large or mixed animal practitioner
Ever wanted to live in the picturesque Pacific Northwest? We have a mixed animal general practice looking for a small, large or mixed animal practitioner to join our team. We are a privately owned clinic with many opportunities to learn and grow your skills. Our team is committed to providing high quality veterinary care that meets your needs where you are. Living and working in this rural area allows us to create relationships with our patients and owners that often extend beyond the vet clinic. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a curiosity for learning, and commitment to growing our mission. Our rural community has a plethora of outdoor activities from hunting and fishing to camping hiking and many more to help you balance your work and life. If you like the outdoors, wide-open spaces and the friendly environment of South Eastern Oregon, and practicing in an environment that promotes animal health and client relationships, this is a great place to live and practice.
Our unique practice is truly a 50% small animal and 50% large animal. The small animal aspect of our practice is a general practice including preventative care, routine surgeries and dental care, diagnostic testing with in house blood machines, digital radiography and ultrasound. The large animal aspect of our practice travels all of Harney County, into parts of Lake, Grant and Malhuer counties (bonus you get to see lots of beautiful country), our services include bangs vaccinations, ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis, bull breeding soundness examinations, artificial insemination chute side service and emergency services. The equine side of our practice is also very busy, with routine health care, dental floats, breeding soundness exams and emergency services.
Our office hours are typically 7:30 – 6pm, with appointments from 8am-5pm, after hour emergencies are covered by the staff veterinarian on call. Schedules are generally a rotating 4 day work week, with one week of on-call a month.
