Event Management Internship
USA Softball hosts an average of 25-30 events each year at Devon Park (formerly USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex). These events are planned, coordinated, and executed by our Stadium Operations team which includes the Event Manager. While this is an Event Management Internship, you will gain knowledge in various areas that are key components in the overall execution of events which also will include introductory learning of Stadium, Ticketing, and Food and Beverage Operations as well to grasp an overall Event Management internship experience.
The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude. The job will entail long hours, and you must be able to work evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills. A strong, detail-oriented, self-starter with creativity and problem-solving skills will thrive best within our team dynamics.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the planning, implementation, and coordination of events
- Some Duties, but not limited to, include:
- Event planning and management
- Assist on site with fast-paced high-profile events
- Database entry and administration
- Communicating via phone and email pertaining to event participation
- Ability to learn/use event management technology and software
- Prepare agenda/itineraries, collect documentation, and complete registration
- Prepare tournament schedules and host managers/umpire meetings
- Assist Operations team with needs including set-up and tear down
- Adhering to requirements of the USOPC and US Center for Safesport
- Registration compliance based on USA Softball Procedural Code & Bylaws
- Food and Beverage systems and monitoring of 3rd Party Vendors
- General support as assigned
- Other Duties as assigned

- USA Softball Mens Majors National Championship
- USA Softball All-American Games
- Oklahoma High School Fast Pitch Fall Festival
- Armed Forces Mens and Womens Championship
Internship Dates: May 1, 2025 – August 15, 2025 (start/end dates are negotiable)
Location: Must be able to work in person at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Compensation/Stipend: $1,850/month, $925 bi-weekly checks
Benefits: This internship does not include room and board or any additional benefits (medical/dental insurance, tuition reimbursement, retirement plan, etc.)
