Mentor Internship
Applications are not accepted through Handshake. You must apply here.
Overview
New Voters offers a sixteen-week, paid, remote, spring internship as part of our efforts to register 10,000 young voters. This program gives current undergraduates the opportunity to support New Voters in its mission. New Voters mentors work part-time during the week to directly coach high school students to run voter registration drives at their schools. Mentors serve as the first point of contact for their students. Mentors largely work on coaching students, but do have the opportunity to conduct recruitment. Mentors will work remotely for New Voters and are required to have internet access.
Applications are not accepted through Handshake. You must apply here.
The 2025 Spring program will run from Tuesday, January 21 to Friday, May 16. Mentors will have the week of their college spring break off. Mentors are paid a base pay of $350, with additional, prorated payment based on drives completed. The mentorship application process opens on Monday, November 18 and will close on Friday, December 27 at 11:59 p.m. (ET). Applicants must apply here.
