Spring 2025 Design Intern
As a Design Intern, you will be an integral part of our Digital and Creative Services team, contributing your creative skills and fresh perspectives to various design projects and initiatives. Under the guidance of an experienced designer, you will have the opportunity to enhance your design capabilities, learn about the complexities of the many industries we work in, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative, fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the creative design team to assist in the creation and execution of various digital and print designs.
- Contribute fresh and innovative ideas to design concepts, taking into consideration target audience and project objectives.
- Assist in the development and refinement of visual assets, ensuring they maintain a high level of quality and consistency.
- Support the design team in maintaining and organizing the digital asset library, ensuring all files are appropriately labeled and accessible.
- Stay updated with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to bring new insights and creativity to the team.
- Participate and constructively contribute to design brainstorming sessions.
- Help create and modify layouts and templates for various materials.
- Utilize design software tools, such as the Adobe Creative Suite.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a relevant degree program, e.g., Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, etc. or recent graduate preferred.
- Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- A portfolio showcasing your design skills and creative projects.
- Basic understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present and articulate design concepts.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a dedication to producing high-quality work within given deadlines.
- A collaborative and team-oriented attitude, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new design trends, tools, and technologies.
