Job Summary
Maintains a clean dishroom, properly washes, sanitizes and sorts soiled dishware and restocks dish areas. Oversee the setup and breakdown of dish room equipment and replacement of all soaps, chemicals, and cleaning products. Keep the dish room organized, free of clutter and maintain equipment and work areas to the Department of Health and ServSafe Standards.
Responsibilities
• Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
• Monitor sanitation practices to ensure compliance with Department of Health standards and regulations
• Maintain the dishroom area for cleanliness and organization; notify management of any equipment issues
• Ensure all dishes are properly rinsed, washed, sanitized, and put away for service; wash items by hand as needed
• Follow safety guidelines, keeping the floor free of water, debris, and obstacles
• Oversee setup and breakdown of machines, replacing chemicals and cleaning products as necessary
• Maintain clean sinks, promptly take out trash, and keep work surfaces organized

• High school diploma or equivalent
Proposed Salary
$15.84 - $18.64
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.

ABILITIES
• Consistently exhibit engaging customer service
• Ability to support various constituencies served by the University
• Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
• Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision
KNOWLEDGE
• Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations
• Knowledge of use of food service equipment
• Knowledge of proper food handling practices as outlined in ServSafe
SKILLS
• Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relation skills
