Operations Applications Analyst
The Operations Applications Analyst is responsible for the maintenance, system enhancements, testing and training of various software systems within the Distribution Center. In addition, this position will recommend ways to increase productivity and maximize efficiency in the distribution center.
1. Set-up and maintain items in the Warehouse Management System to manage the flow of products throughout the building and how the system directs flow of material, including item data and picking rules.
2. Create daily and monthly reports and provide analysis. Also responsible for creating query reports on demand for different departments throughout the company.
3. Perform random audits of item dimensions and/or weights to ensure accuracy of orders when parcels reach the scale prior to final packing.
4. Perform audits on the floor and check locations of items in the system as needed when issues arise.
5. Prepare necessary operational support manuals and written procedures with regard to software/hardware used or any system enhancements within the facility.
6. Analyze and investigate system issues, communicate with the IT Department and develop recommendations for action. Facilitate/implement a fix or resolution to issues.
7. Assist in the implementation of World Class Principles to improve customer satisfaction and lean manufacturing standards.
8. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or Engineering with 1 to 2 years of experience in a computerized distribution or relevant environment required.
OR High School diploma with 5 years of relevant work experience in a distribution environment
Must have a working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and warehouse management systems and experience with IMI Series (AS400) and Boss is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office ﴾Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word﴿. Must be very detail oriented and able to find problems with anomalous data. Excellent communication skills, ability to learn how to troubleshoot and analyze data, effective in business correspondence and reporting, personal and professional organizational skills and overall functional accuracy. Ability to adhere to project timelines in a fast-paced environment.

Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
