Retail Sales Manager

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for overseeing and driving the sales performance of multiple retail locations throughout the state. Your primary focus will be achieving sales targets, optimizing store operations, leading and developing store managers, and ensuring a consistent and high-quality customer experience.


This position is also responsible for identifying performance, process, and product gaps and is held accountable for improving those metrics through data analysis and quality improvement initiatives. The Retail Sales Manager (Manager II, Consumer Sales) must have a thorough understanding of all products and services offered by the company with a strong knowledge base of Retail store operations, market trends, revenue targets, installation processes, and competitive analysis of other providers.

 

Essential Functions:

* Responsible for the development and execution of sales metrics, more specifically to productivity, sales, close rates, and transaction targets within Retail Stores.
* Responsible for the coaching and development of sales representatives and store leadership to maximize contribution
* Ensure all retail locations adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards by conducting regular store visits.
* Monitor store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandizing, and customer service quality.
* Recruit, hire, and train store managers and retail staff

 

Education:

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

 

Relevant Work Experience:

3 to 5 years in related field

 

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Experience in retail sales, call center and/or outbound sales leadership
* Experience in developing sales processes and managing to sales metrics
* Coaching/supervisor experience
* Previous sales experience required
* Process improvement Customer service
* Project management
* Strong customer orientation and negotiation skills
* Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, communication and motivational skills
* Demonstrated experience in performance management
* Strong process improvement and data analysis skills Innovative, assertive, team oriented, self-directed
* Ability to manage new and constantly changing products, services, promotions, and procedures
* Working knowledge of processes within the Company

 

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has one or more employee direct reports
* Total number of positions supervised (approximate number is acceptable): 10-15
* Describe the type of positions supervised (e.g., hourly, union, management): Directly supervising Management employee. There will be Hourly employees that report to Store Managers, then Store Managers reporting to this Sales Manager position.

 

Salary for this role: $85,000 - $127,500
