Program Analyst Intern
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) Customer Experience Office (CXO) is accepting applications for motivated and innovative Program Analyst interns to support the enhancement of HUD’s quality of services and improve the overall customer experience for individuals and communities that rely on HUD programs. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop valuable skills in data analysis, project management, and policy implementation in a dynamic, mission-driven federal agency.
This role is critical in supporting HUD’s customer experience commitment by ensuring inspection processes are effective, responsive, and aligned with HUD’s mission to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all.

Responsibilities
As a Program Analyst Intern in the REAC Customer Experience Office you will:
- Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in collecting and analyzing data to assess customer experience performance in relation to HUD programs.
- Customer Feedback Integration: Support the development and implementation of customer feedback surveys, focus groups, and other data-gathering tools; and analyze customer feedback to assess satisfaction and identify pain points.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HUD staff, partners, and stakeholders to address issues, support initiatives, and provide data-driven recommendations for improving overall customer experience.
- Project Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design and execution of customer-focused projects.

Policy and Program Support: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs to enhance inspection services and meet HUD’s strategic objectives.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in HUD’s services, policies, and outreach.
- Reporting: Create reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings and support strategic decision-making.
The internship will be part-time (10-35 hours per week) during the Spring 2025 semester (January-May); We will also use this announcement to recruit for our Fall 2025 Internship Cohort (September-December). Start and end date flexible.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D.) in fields such as Public Administration, Public Policy, Business, Data Analysis, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
