Systems Administrator


POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology,  the Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, with a focus on optimizing system capabilities and ensuring high availability across Equitas Health locations, including Pharmacies, Dental, and Medical Centers. This role involves not only responding to and resolving technical issues but also proactively identifying opportunities for system improvement and automation of routine tasks. The Systems Administrator will monitor systems to prevent downtime, enhance security, and support compliance with industry standards. In addition, they will collaborate with IT staff and other departments to deliver effective technical support and contribute to strategic technological initiatives that align with the organization's mission and security objectives.
SALARY:$58,700-$73,300

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server 2022 systems, AD, DHCP, DNS, NTP, Active Directory, GPO, and other core infrastructure components in an enterprise environment
  • Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments, working to integrate and secure on-premises systems with cloud resources for seamless and efficient operations.
  • Maintain virtual environment (Hyper-V)
  • Maintain Veeam backup and replication environments.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
  • Respond to and resolvehelp desk requests
  • Provide support and guidance to help desk support team members
  • Install and test computer-related equipment
  • Monitor server security
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues
  • Create, change and delete user accounts per request
  • Updating systems to current software
  • Work with the Director of Information Technology to communicate issues
  • Adhere to Equitas Health Confidentiality Policy
  • Other technology projects and tasks as assigned by Director.
  • Setup and manage Imprivata SSO
  • Create images for workstations and servers as well as application packages and deployments via SCCM
  • Roll out patches and hotfixes to all workstations as well as servers. Ability to patch a clustered server environment.
  • Ability to setup and secure wireless APs and manage updates and firmware for them
  • Able to use Powershell to help script and automate tasks and software
  • Perform and record audits of users, computers, servers and the IT environment
  • Configure and maintain Mitel phone system and call center
  • Ability to setup and rollout switches, servers and APs to new sites
  • Setup and maintain UPS battery backups at all sites


EDUCATION/LICENSURE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred
    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Qualifications:
  • 3+ years’ experience in system administration
  • Demonstrated experience as a system administrator, network administrator, systems engineer, or similar discipline 
  • Experience in wired and wireless network design and implementation with strong security
  • Experience administering applications for the enterprise, such as Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL
  • In-depth knowledge of Office 365
  • Experience with virtualization technology (Hyper-V)
  • Experience with and ability to provide high quality customer service.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Server operating systems.
  • A strong understanding of firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Willing to travel as necessary
  • Must have valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have sensitivity to, interest in and competence in cultural differences, HIV/AIDS, minority health, sexual practices, chemical dependency and a demonstrated competence in working with persons of color, and gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community.
