Summer Camp Office Manager

As Office Manager at Camp Augusta, you will be an essential part of the camp’s operation, ensuring that all behind-the-scenes activities run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating a positive, welcoming environment for families, staff, and campers.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in office management, communication, and customer service, while also enjoying the unique and fun environment of a summer camp. You’ll be an important point of contact for parents, campers, and staff, all while contributing to the magic that happens at Camp Augusta.

This position is a great fit for someone seeking an internship or experience that blends office administration with a dynamic, outdoor-focused community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Office Management: Oversee daily office operations, manage phone calls, emails, and communications with parents, staff, and visitors.
  • Customer Service: Be the friendly and professional voice of Camp Augusta, handling inquiries, solving problems, and providing support to families and staff.
  • Record Keeping & Organization: Maintain camper and staff records, handle paperwork, and manage camp databases using spreadsheets and other tools.
  • Event Coordination & Support: Help coordinate logistics for special events, staff meetings, and camp activities.
  • Teaching Activities: In addition to office duties, you will have the opportunity to teach one or two activities daily, sharing your skills and energy with campers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other camp staff to ensure smooth communication and a high level of service to campers, families, and colleagues.
     

Minimum requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age by June 1st, 2025
  • Must be available during our summer dates: from May 13th to August 9th 2025 (if within a couple days, inquire)
  • Ability to commit to 5-8 hours of pre-camp onboarding work a week from when you are hired to when you arrive, and maintain open and prompt communication about that work'
  • Must be willing and able to either show proof of a positive COVID test or COVID booster since Sept 1, 2024

We’re looking for a motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills and an eye for detail. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be comfortable multitasking, working in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude.

  • Flexible & Adaptable: Able to switch between office tasks and teaching activities, with a positive attitude.
  • Interest in Outdoor Community Living: While your primary role is in the office, you’ll be immersed in the outdoor, camp-focused community and lifestyle.
