Venture Capital Internship Enterprise Software


 About the Firm 

Ant Venture Partners is a venture-as-a-service firm that invests in early stage technology companies in the United States with a focus on artificial intelligence in the enterprise. We are a tight-knit small team of investors and support team, with a focus on identifying the most promising technologies that will change the way we work, produce things and run businesses. 

Role Overview 

We are seeking an intellectually curious and digitally native individual to join our investment team as a Venture Capital intern. This internship offers a full-view opportunity to gain experience in venture capital and gain deep insights into the investment process, with a focus on deal sourcing, management and due diligence. 

Focus

This internship will focus on early stage technologies in enterprise software, with a preference for technologies for traditional industries. We strive to find emerging technologies that provide productivity, profitability, safety and sustainability for our backbone industries. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in deal sourcing and initial screening of investment opportunities, 
  • Conduct market research and industry analysis to support investment efforts, 
  • Collaborate with our venture partners and AI agents to streamline the search and selection process, 
  • Participate in due diligence process, including research, competitive analysis and investment memo creation, 
  • Attend meetings with potential investment opportunities, 
  • Assist in the preparation of investment memorandums and other internal documents, 
  • Utilize AI-powered tools and techniques to enhance research, due diligence and decision making, 
  • Participate in webinars about various aspects of venture capital and early stage technologies,
  • Support the investment team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed,
  • Participate in in-person events for networking. 

Qualifications and Interests

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program with a focus on technology, business, finance or related field, 
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, 
  • Genuine interest in how businesses run and how software impacts their bottom line, 
  • Very comfortable using Google Workspace, online databases, and other business software tools. 
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and keen interest in AI applications.

Work Environment, Dynamics & Company Culture

While we are headquartered in San Francisco, we are a remote-first, work from anywhere company. The intern can set their own schedule for individual work, however is expected to be available during scheduled meetings and other time-sensitive engagements. The intern should be able to respond to messages and emails within a reasonable timeframe during work hours. When participating in video calls, we require professional casual office wear and an appropriate background. If you plan to work while traveling internationally, we ask that you provide the specific country you will be located in for legal and compliance purposes. The intern will use their own computer during the duration of the internship unless they are contracted for a longer commitment than 20 weeks.
