Science Teacher
Holy Name High School in Parma Heights, Ohio is seeking an immediate full time Science teacher for the balance of the 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities Include:
- Instruct students in Science for different grade levels and at various achievement levels
- Instill student enthusiasm for reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Maintain up-to-date lesson plans; develop rubrics for projects and other class activities; and implement the provided curriculum with fidelity
- Prepare engaging lessons and units that promote skills, knowledge, and critical thinking consistent with course outcomes
- Work collaboratively with staff for the good of students and the school.
- Create an atmosphere in which students feel safe and welcomed.
- Communicate regular feedback about student progress; maintain open and timely communication with parents.
- Stay current with classroom technology applications and regularly incorporate them into lesson plans.
- Actively supervise students at all times
Job Requirements:
- Teaching license or approved non-tax license (Science Teaching license is preferred)
- Able to pass FBI/BCI background check
- Strong background in teaching pedagogy
- Experience teaching high school students
