Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Intern to join our inside sales team. This internship will provide hands-on experience in lead generation, sales research, and client outreach. As an intern, you will assist in identifying and qualifying potential leads, supporting sales initiatives, and gaining valuable exposure to the inner workings of a sales process.

 

Activities include making cold call telephone sales, arranging or attending sales visits, providing information to clients and suggesting alternative products or services, updating the client information database and processing orders.

 

You are responsible for

  • Provides lead generation for Inside Sales team for an established group of business customers.
  • Conduct research to identify potential leads and prospects using various tools such as LinkedIn, and other databases.
  • Performs prescribed number of follow-ups and talk time per day.
  • Meets and exceeds daily activity expectations (calls, demos, emails, total contacts).
  • Assist in initiating contact with leads through email and phone calls to gauge interest and schedule follow-up meetings.
  • Identifies decision makers within targeted leads and builds effective business relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records of lead activity and updates in CRM systems, ensuring the sales team has access to up-to-date information.
  • Supports team and cross-functional projects within defined area of responsibility.
  • Track and report on lead generation performance, including the number of qualified leads, outreach activity, and any feedback for process improvements.

 

Qualifications

   •        Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

   •        Strong written and verbal communication skills.

   •        Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.

   •        Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive.

   •        Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

   •        Previous experience in sales, marketing, or customer service is a plus but not required.
