Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking applicants for a two-year post-doctoral Research Fellowship with a focus on Disparities in Aging and Dementia.
The overarching goal of this NIH funded T32 postdoctoral research-training program is to launch the careers of a new generation of researchers who are prepared to apply a multidisciplinary approach to research at the intersection of geriatric medicine and vulnerable populations.
Launched in 2020, the training program recruits two new post-doctoral scholars each academic year. Over 20 faculty researchers and a large team of research staff support the efforts and learning of trainees. All fellows will conduct mentored research and will be eligible to earn an MPH, MS, or PhD in clinical research. Stipend and tuition are provided along with an allowance for travel and research expenses. Research foci include behavioral medicine, psycho-social research, mind-body and integrative interventions, health disparities, health systems, palliative care, and more.
Eligible candidates will have an MD, DO, PhD or equivalent doctoral degree and a demonstrated commitment to a research career that focuses on older adult populations.
This fellowship is being offered jointly through the Division of General Internal Medicine and the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with most fellows beginning the Summer or Fall.
