Job Summary
The Arc of Westchester is offering an amazing opportunity to work alongside HR professionals who will help develop your skills in recruitment and other HR functions all while getting paid! Your main responsibilities will include the recruitment efforts for our Direct Support Professional position. You will be directly involved in the initial screening and interview of applicants, employment verification, reference checks and other administrative tasks.
Job Duties
· Understand the job duties of a DSP
· Review current DSP recruitment materials- flyers, other relevant materials
· Review current recruitment resources and identify, reinforce, create new contacts
· Develop a comprehensive recruitment strategy. This includes a daily schedule - target locations (schools, churches, libraries, community organizations, etc.). This also includes enhancement of the use of social media and other on-line resources.
· Implement strategy on outreach recruitment. This includes interviewing, follow-up, paperwork completion, etc.
· Screening resumes and applications and conduct phone screening interviews.
· Setting up appointments for individual and group interviews, and provide assistance during the interviews when needed.
· Obtain employment verifications and reference checks.
· General clerical duties such as filing, photocopying materials, etc.
Job Requirements
- Candidate should be pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- No previous experience is required. Some clerical and/or phone customer service experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills. Strong phone and interpersonal skills.
- Good computer and social media skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Organized and detail oriented
DURATION: The internship will consist of 21 hours per week for a total of 13-26 weeks (3-6 months).
SALARY: $16/Hr
