Position Overview
This part-time role requires 15–20 hours per week, based on the candidate’s experience and availability. As an Indoor Farm Associate, you’ll be essential to crop health and production, supporting our hydroponic and aeroponic systems through tasks ranging from planting and harvesting to packaging and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Crop Maintenance: Support hydroponic and aeroponic crop care, including planting, transplanting, and monitoring crop health.
Harvesting and Packaging: Harvest, weigh, and package produce according to customer specifications.
Quality Control: Inspect crops at various growth stages to ensure quality, managing ripeness, sizing, and proper packaging.
System and Facility Maintenance: Clean and maintain hydroponic and aeroponic equipment, regularly cycle water, and ensure a clean, orderly workspace.
Pest and Safety Monitoring: Identify and report any signs of pests, insect damage, or food safety concerns.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate farm equipment and ladders as needed.
Standards Compliance: Follow SOPs, food safety guidelines, and occupational safety
practices.
Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications
Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong attention to detail, and experience with hydroponic, aeroponic, greenhouse, and indoor farming techniques.
Physical Requirements: Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions
(e.g., greenhouse heat, UV exposure, or cold storage), able to safely lift up to 50 lbs, and
comfortable with ladders and heights.
Reliability: Dependable transportation is required.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience with hydroponic, aeroponic, greenhouse, or indoor farming systems.
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent; candidates pursuing degrees in Agriculture, Plant Biology, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
