Enterprise Risk Management Summer Intern
Summary
APS Palo Verde is looking for a Enterprise Risk Management Summer Intern to join their team in Tonopah, AZ.
The APS Enterprise Risk Management Summer Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience and work on the companies Enterprise Risk Management program, including identification and implementation of improvements in the process.
This position will have the opportunity to interact with stakeholders across multiple departments including, APS CHQ and Palo Verde business groups. Responsibilities are not limited to but may include the following:
Analysis of existing Enterprise Risk Management process and register to identify modernization opportunities and improvements.
Design and develop desired outcomes (i.e. indicators and metrics) for the Enterprise Risk Management process.
Build the business case for suggested improvements to the Enterprise Risk Management Process.
Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gain alignment and approval of the desired changes to the Enterprise Risk Management process.
Implement the desired Enterprise Risk Management changes to improve the program.
The Palo Verde Summer internship is a paid 10-week program, starting in May, ending in July. During the 10 weeks at Palo Verde, you will be equipped with the tools needed to thrive and be challenged with meaningful individual and group projects. You will get support from leaders who will help you succeed.
Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in a New Hire Orientation, Professional Development opportunities and company tours to learn more about Palo Verde and Arizona Public Service. Qualified students will receive housing during the program, if an in-person internship.

Minimum Requirements
- Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate program as a Business or Risk Management, a related field. or a graduate MBA or MIS program
- Must show ongoing achievement in areas of study and training with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications
- Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and knowledge / education / experience in Information Services business applications.
