Management Assistant I
The Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) is looking for a Management Assistant to join their team. This position will assist ONS and its management team by providing support for the programs' day-to-day operations, such as prioritizing and coordinating schedules, prioritizing incoming issues and concerns, and handling a variety of administrative tasks
Here’s what you can expect to do:
- Participate on the leadership team, keeping abreast of community and social issues, and keeping other constituents and senior leaders informed of work of the Office of Neighborhood Safety.
- Write, design, and edit, content for ONS's communication channels (e-newsletters, social media, website, and print) and work in collaboration with the city's central communications team.
- Assist with facilitation of department meetings, events, and/or training, and handling logistics such as equipment, materials, and support.
- Prepare reports and correspondence for the Director, internal and external customers, including completing expense reports and other reporting documents.
- Direct information about the office and provides assistance to the public and staff regarding operations and policies/procedures.

Position Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Information Systems, Management, Business Management, Communications, or closely related field. Acceptable, related degrees may be specified by the requirements of each hiring department.
A combination of education and experience to equal four years or more can be used to qualify for the position.
