Post-Doc in Big Data in (Regional) Economics

The Institute of Economics at TU Braunschweig is looking for a

Post-Doctoral Researcher (m/f/d) with a focus on Big Data in (Regional) Economics
(EG 13 TV-L, full-time)

This full-time position is on a fixed-term basis for three years and should start at the earliest possible date.

Your tasks

  • You contribute deep expertise in machine learning (image recognition, classification etc.) to our research.
  • You develop tools to extract data from original sources such as satellite imagery, books, or photographs.
  • You are open to teaching responsibilities at TU Braunschweig.

Your qualifications

  • You hold a PhD in Data Science (with basics in Economics) or Economics (with a focus on Data Science).
  • You are enthusiastic about using and developing machine learning tools.
  • You demonstrate excellent proficiency in English.
  • You are motivated, adaptable, and a strong team player.
