Marketing + Business Development Intern

4-month On-site Paid Internship 

Hayward, CA

November – February (Extensible)

Experience 0-1 Years in office environment 

 

DGM California (Hayward, CA location) is looking for a Business Development Intern to assist the Business Development and Operations teams to help build up their sales, customer relations, and social media presence.  This is NOT a Technology oriented internship, so Technology/Database/script/coding skills are NOT required/expected. 

We are looking for classic content writers with an interest in understanding the supply chain, transportation, logistics, export/import space, researching companies online, calling/emailing and requires 100% on-site presence near San Francisco, CA.

This is a great opportunity to assist in business development for a company that works with clients from various industries across the country. This is NOT a fetching-coffee internship. Our Business Development Intern will be an important part of our company’s growth. 

Role Specifics:

  • Work with our Business Development and Operations teams to source and organize leads
  • Help build our client base by following up on sales leads and creating new communication streams with target market
  • Develop growth strategies to increase brand awareness and attract a wide variety of customer via marketing campaigns, and social media campaigns
  • Follow up with current customers and create feedback forms

By the end of this internship you will:

  • Be able to email customers and coworkers in a professional manner
  • Be able to create graphic visuals to be shared on professional websites
  • Have strong Microsoft office experience
  • Have strong experience with sales/lead generation
  • Understand account management and administrative management

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a college program
  • Entrepreneurial minded and self-driven
  • Must have prior work experience
  • Must be able to commute to warehouse-cum-office in Hayward, CA
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, operations environment
  • Basic technical knowledge and available to work remotely if required.
