Legal Intern
Job Summary:
The IGS legal intern will work directly within the IGS in-house legal team, which consists of attorneys and paralegals, on a wide range of duties that directly impact our business. The primary role is to engage with members of the team to support day-to-day operations, aid in long term projects, research, and bring new perspective and insight to a growing business.
We are looking for someone passionate about learning and engaging in the legal field. It will be a unique position that provides valuable exposure to the inner workings of a dynamic corporate legal department. This position requires a strong work ethic, effective written and verbal communication skills, an independent spirit, and a drive to succeed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performing basic legal research/ analysis
- Drafting documents
- Filing and organizing documents
- Editing and fact-checking
- Completing general administrative tasks
- Supporting the IGS in-house legal team
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a law degree from an accredited law school (Note: 1L or 2L preferred).
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Strong reading, writing, and grammatical skills to produce clear and concise legal documents/ analysis.
- The ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
