2025 Summer Music Staff

Camp Boggy Creek is a not-for-profit medical camp that serves children with serious illnesses. We are located in central Florida, approximately 45 minutes north of Orlando.  Our summer staff directly impact and empower children.

A camp where children with serious illnesses and their families can forget the word "no" for a little while and embrace the promise of "yes."

No matter your major, our summer jobs teach the top skills graduate schools want in applicants and companies want in employees:  leadership, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving customer service, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.

If you enjoy kids, trying new things, and choosing kindness, this could be the place for you! Don't worry if you don't have experience with children who have illnesses; we have medical staff and volunteers on site to take care of campers' medical needs. We will train staff in the medical information you will need to PLAY WITH KIDS here.

Summer job applicants must be at least 18 years old, and positions are contingent on reference checks, receipt of passing the criminal background screening, fingerprinting, and medical / immunization requirements. We hope to have summer staff hired by mid-April, so interested applicants are encouraged to apply early.

As MUSIC STAFF, your primary responsibility is ensuring the safety and well-being of our campers and staff both in an indoor and outdoor environment. Responsibilities of a music staff include, but are not limited to, planning and implementing music, instrumental, and rhythm activities, engaging campers with music, encouraging campers' creativity, and performing safety checks throughout the season. Music staff receive site-based trainings and sequential in-service trainings. The job of a music staff requires building working relationships with staff to ensure a high standard of programming and safety are maintained at all times. 

Due to the skills associated with music and performance, individuals with woodwind, brass, percussion (including piano), or stringed (including guitar) instrument experience are preferred for this role.
