Additional job details:

 

  • Address: 1200 Forest St, Eau Claire, WI 54703,
  • Schedule: Flexible, but must be able to do 8 hour days. Part time and full time availability will be considered
    • 8am-5pm
  • Pay: $22/hr
  • Start date: January 2025

Being an intern or student at Cascades is a unique opportunity to define your interests and discover your passion within the team of ANDY PETERSON, as our new Safety Intern- January 2025:
 

  • Assist with administrative tasks, including the evaluation and optimization of safety management systems.
  • Conduct manual data entry and manage documentation related to lockout/tagout procedures within the system.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from employees regarding potential safety improvements and identified risks.
  • Perform regular floor inspections to assess safety compliance and identify hazards.
  • Collaborate on the revamping and enhancement of existing safety procedures and policies.
  • Respond to and investigate various safety incidents, documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in risk assessment activities to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Attend and contribute to safety meetings, fostering a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a safety program or a related field of study, demonstrating a commitment to safety principles and practices.
  • Strong comunication skills: Ability to effectively communicate safety concepts and protocols to diverse audiences
  • Problem solving skills: Ability to identify safety risks and propose actionable solutions
